Â
There's an answerbook on Epicweb, 10020MPS, that addresses this issue. Shows you how to script it. I will email you a copy of the answerbook.

Epicor created a 1 off fix for us that runs in the admin console as a progress program. Is there a way to automate this process? Currently I am having to run it manually 2 or 3 times a week and it causes alot of pain if it gets missed.

any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

I have one of these too.

I was told by Epicor that there is no way to schedule them to run automatically, so I never looked any further.

I'm just curious, but what does it do?

Does everyone need to be logged out when it is run?

Would running it more oten then needed cause any problems?

There is a bug in 9.05 that leads to a warehouse being tied to a plant in the partplant record that it should not. We have 4 plants, each with 1 warehouse. This fix goes and breaks the links for parts with warehouses assigned to a plant that they should not be.

The result of this bug, is that PO Suggestions thinks plant A has inventory available to it from warehouse A & warehouse B, but really it should only have warehouse A. This results in parts shortages....not pretty.

It doesn't seem to cause any ill effect if run during the day - we're currently running it twice a week. Would prefer it run nightly, as our buyers often see it on timephase and it causes confusion (rightfully so).

What action creates the inappropriate link? Part creation, inventory transactions?

Just thinking about a customization or BPM that would fix it when it happens.

Good idea. It's been 6 months since we discovered the issue, I'd have to dig back into it. I think maybe it's AP invoicing?

I'll trace it back and see if we can put a BPM in place to prevent it. I do know that once it's created we cannot delete it, as the system thinks it has transactions against that warehouse with that part (which it does, just not for that plant). The only fix once it's occurred is to run the fix provided by Epicor (or some sort of direct database touch which we avoid at all cost).

I hate it when I don't think of these things on my own! :)

Do you have the .p or only the .r?

I know you can call .p from the CLI and just schedule it; I believe you may
be able to do this with .r as well.

If you have the .p, let me know and I'll dig up the proper command for you.
