This is the hierarchy that the Job Entry form logic follows to assign
the warehouse/bin to a Material Backflush Transaction created thru the
Job Closing process:
1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â From Input Resource GROUPÂ if Warehouse/bin are configured and the Qty On Hand is bigger than zero.Â If not.Â Â
2)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â From Backflush Resource GROUP if Warehouse and bin are defined no matter the Qty On Hand. If not…
3)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

So if I remove the resource group bins (input and backflush), and the scheduled input resource (wherever that is) then it will start pulling from the primary bin correct? Then if I were to not define a primary bin, it would pull from anywhere that has inventory in a bin?

We are having an issue where materials aren't being backflushed out of the primary bin. Instead the default bin is going negative. Looking at the help files, the backflushing should run through the various defaults and if there isn't enough get the bin that has enough to cover the demand, which would be the primary bin. I've been manually transferring inventory to correct the negative, but according to the documentation I shouldn't have to to that. It doesn't look like everything is using the wrong bin, but a lot of them are, which is even more frustrating because it works correctly sometimes. Can anyone tell me what would make the system make a bin go negative instead of using the qty in the primary bin?
