BAQ Report Designer and Data

You could do this either as a prompt in Crystal, or as a BAQ Report Option (e.g. ReportParam.Character01) that you can just print on the report form. I think if you use a Crystal prompt you can't print the report directly...you have to print preview, and then print from the Crystal viewer.

You could create a parameter field on the crystal report that would
prompt the user for the week ending date at the time the labels are run.
This would make it easier to print labels for holiday weeks that may not
end on the following Friday.

A request was submitted to have the ability to print labels from within
Vantage. The labels will be used on employee timecards. So, the
information is employee data.

I have created a BAQ and through the BAQ Report Designer I have
successfully created the Crystal Report to print on an Avery Template.

The issue/question I have is how can I get a date, either in my BAQ or
on the report.

Scenario... On Friday, 08.21.09, we want to print lables for next weeks
timecards. The date that I want to print on the labels will reflect next
weeks "week ending" date, which would be 08.30.09.

I am at a loss as to how to bring in this date. Anyone?

Jeff

If you are using a BAQ report, you could create an option to pick the
date and then use the option in your BAQ report.

Charlie and Dan,

Thanks for the quick response. The working result was to add the 'Option' <ReportParam.Character01> in BAQ Report Designer. The user will enter any date they wish. I pulled the <ReportParam.Character01 into my report.

Exactly what I want. Thanks again.
