I have some Reports set up in Vantage that I filter with a date Range. My question is can I get these dates to show up on a Crystal Report. As it is now when you run 1 of these reports you have to hand write on the hard copy the date range used in to filter the report.

Does anyone know a way to get this information on the Crystal Report?

Thank You

Gene
You can likely put in the field on your report...I have done this with
an option field...BAQReportParameter.Option03...You need to find which
filter to use and likely it will be BAQReportParameter.Filter1 or 2
etc...

Can you be a little for specific on how you did this. Especially the filters. I found the dates in filter1 when I tried to do this but how do you get it from there? It seems other fields were also in the same filter field. And when you use the option field is it just for them to check, than in Crystal use a formula to check that field and display the dates if checked?

Hmm, I tried quickly, but it did not work for filters...It does for
options...Can you put your filters as options? Greater than or = and
less than or = same field?

The issue with that is than the user looses the capability to use the calendar to put in their date. The only other option is that you put it on the screen twice, which forces the user to key their dates in twice. Would be nice to have an option as a date value instead of just character, numeric or check...

Yes, put the date in twice, that is what I have for options...And it
uses the calendar for each (filling in the current date as the default
for each).

Option Field Field Label Compare
Operator Data Type Order

Customer.CustID Cust. ID =
character 0

OrderRel.ShipToNum Ship To =
character 1

OrderRel.NeedByDate Need By From GE
date 2

OrderRel.NeedByDate Need By To LE
date 3

I hope this helps...

We are on Vantage 8.03.409c

We are on 9.04.506c. I will see if it works the same.

I have another option field on my screen right before order. Not sure what to put in there. It did not like it when I put in character01 for the date, because it's an invalid field. the checkbox seems to be ok going into check01. That's what I meant about the paramater record not having a date01 etc to put data into.

what to put in there. It did not like it when I put in character01 for
the date, because it's an invalid field. the checkbox seems to be ok
going into check01. That's what I meant about the paramater record not
having a date01 etc to put data into.

I have a couple of reports that contain a Date ranges in the report option filter. User select a from and to Date for the report.

Is there a way to get these dates to show up in a crystal report so you can tell the date range selected by the user?

I don't see anywhere I can pull these into the report.

Thank You

Gene
Gene,

I assume you're running a BAQ report. They are part of the
ReportParameters, I believe they would be option1 and option2. Regardless,
you can add some of those fields to your report while in designer print
preview, and you'll be able to tell fairly quickly which ones they are.

Just create a formula for each and put into the report.
Minimum([Parameter])
Maximum([Parameter])
