Barcodes for the Handheld

Tony, are you certain the barcode isn't truncated?

Not sure about DataWedge, but I did attach ScanWedge for you. Replace
DataWedge with ScanWedge. Perhaps this will work better.

Subject: [Vantage] Barcodes for the Handheld

If anyone has done any concatenating of fields for barcodes on handheld,
maybe you can help.
We're using Motorola MC9090-G. For issuing material to a job, I made a
barcode on the material section of the traveler for the Issue Material
form.
It is Job + TAB + Assembly Sequence + TAB + Material Sequence + a couple
tabs to put you at From Bin ready to scan the BIN ID from the actual bin
you're standing at.

Problem is that it does the first part of Job + Asy + MtlSeq fine, but
the last few tabs are ignored and cursor is left at the Part.
(I guess in some parallel universe material people are issuing
completely different materials to jobs than what the BOM calls for, but
here on Planet Earth we normally have the shop people trust what the
good engineers decided on. )

Anyhow, i know on a regular Symbol scanner I can scan a code to put a
"pause" in between keystrokes. Can something like this be done with
DataWedge?
Or is something else going on here?

Thanks!
