Go into the datawedge and add a delay between keystrokes. 5ms should be about right. Basically you want to slow it down a little. This worked for us.

Subject: [Vantage] Barcode problem - Epicor 905.700C
Hello,
When I scan a code that begins with a letter, that first letter is dropped in the Epicor software. However the same barcode scanned with the same scanner in any other program is fine.
For example, I scan a barcode "X12B2" and I get "12B2". I can manually enter the whole code and it is accepted. I tested this in several fields in several functions and it seems it just doesn't like leading alpha characters.
I tested with Code 39 and Code 128. I am using a Motorola 9090 with WM 6.1 and Datawedge software.
Does anyone know a solution to this, or has anyone else experienced this?
