BPM - Stop PUR-STK Entry to AMM Material Queue

Way off topic but we want each receipt to populate in the inspection queue so we can process within the system at that point. The original post concerned not generating a move request, and this would be helpful in our case.

Bill,
We're on 6.1, but I'm assuming the logic hasn't changed that much for this process.
It sounds to me like you should just turn everything off "inspection required". Then assign your "receiving warehouse" to be "inspection" .
That way all receipts go there and the only move necessary is when the parts are actually moved to their proper location. This will eliminate the additional step of processing the parts through the inspection que.

In our case all parts will be inspected, some at 10% of receipt, some at 100% and some just material certs vs ASTM specs, but the point was the PUR-INS move request is not needed because the parts will be sitting at inspection upon receipt.

In Bill's case: PO receipts should only require a move to PUR-INS if you've set up the part in general (or specific PO) as inspection required. (Or is my memory wrong?.... Been a LONG time since we piloted & figured this stuff out in order to set up.)

In Bruce's case, I seem to recall (with AMM installed) there is no unique method that specifically updates the material queue... It's all done as part of the general blackbox methods (that actually do several things).

...Could be wrong though.

We would also be interested in a method of preventing some transaction types from appearing in the queue because we don't do a physical move at that point. As an example, 100% of receipts are physically in inspection area upon receipt so the move request for PUR-INS move request is not meaningful to us and only serves to clutter up the queue.

I am trying to stop the PUR-STK transactions from populating the AMM
Material Queue using a BPM. Using tracing, I expected to find something
in the Epicor.Mfg.BO. Receipt Business Object within either the Receive
All or Update methods. I cannot seem to find the parameter / tt field
which is triggering this transaction.

As a side note I found this pretty easily within the ttRmaReceipts

Bill,
We're on 6.1, but I'm assuming the logic hasn't changed that much for this process.
It sounds to me like you should just turn everything off "inspection required". Then assign your "receiving warehouse" to be "inspection" .
That way all receipts go there and the only move necessary is when the parts are actually moved to their proper location. This will eliminate the additional step of processing the parts through the inspection que.

We don't utilize the AMM module like we should. There are transactions in there since 2006. As a first step into making this a workable product, we need to get rid of all the transactions in the queue. I just want to temporarily halt transactions from hitting the queue.

Just curious: Why do you want to exclude these from the queue?

Subject: [Vantage] BPM - Stop PUR-STK Entry to AMM Material Queue

I am trying to stop the PUR-STK transactions from populating the AMM
Material Queue using a BPM. Using tracing, I expected to find something
in the Epicor.Mfg.BO. Receipt Business Object within either the Receive
All or Update methods. I cannot seem to find the parameter / tt field
which is triggering this transaction.

As a side note I found this pretty easily within the ttRmaReceipts
table.
