Can't save E10 BPMs on a certain method

There is a program called directive update on the same folder where you create them

I have 2 BPMs on a method and both of them have compilation errors.  (There was a period of time yesterday when I saved the BPMs they weren't being compiled and thus did not error, but were still saving my changes.  I have no idea why/how this was happening.)  Now I cannot disable, delete, or edit either one of these due to the error in the other when I try to save.  Does anyone have have some ideas on how I can remedy this?

Thanks,

Christine

If you are on 10.0.700.4 there may be a bug involved that relates to importing BPMs but might have deeper roots.  We have been told that when importing a BPM it has an issue with links between conditional steps.  The “fix” is to delete all of the links (I even do ones not involving conditionals) and then relink all the steps.  In case there is a general weakness somewhere in there (and if you are at 700.4) it might be worth deleting all the links and re-linking the steps and see if that resolves the compile issue.

We found when dealing with BPMs in version 10 it was best to completely delete and then import them.  The import functionality has changed in this version.  We actually had it where duplicate BPMs were imported even though we check the box to overwrite existing ones.

We also had the duplicate BPM issue in 10.0.600.4 but I believe the issue was resolved in 10.0.700.1

Thanks for your responses.  I just logged a call with support, but I'm not optimistic that they'll be able to help me.  I cannot edit/save or delete either BPM due to the error.  I think the only way I can get there would be to figure out how to get back into the mode where it doesn't compile on save...

Thanks, Scott, but I can’t even do that!  I do believe I have correct code to put in there if it would only let me…

You can't check "enabled" off??

I can uncheck enabled, but I can't save it.

I couldn't agree with you more!

Try using directive update to disable the bpm

Jose, it wasn't clear to me how I'd do this.  So, what I ended up doing (since there is no Progress layer - YAY! - and this is a test db) is I updated the table directly, using Management Studio, to set both those BPMs IsEnabled = 0 and IsUpToDate = 0 and then I was able to work with them and fix the code.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions!
