Capturelog is increasing

We are using social enterprise and capturelog table is increasing rapidly. Is it okay to truncate the table?and how we can stop this growing?

Any updates?

We are not using Epicor Social or Collaboration as well. Seems a waste to record, then delete.

Second, Epicor called and indicated they knew cdc.CaptureLog was used by Social/Collaborate, Enterprise Search and XL Connect. He had heard from development, other modules in the future may use this table.

He also pointed me to two menu items:

  • CDC Log Processor - process to run and clean up older records in the cdc.CaptureLog table. This should be a scheduled item if CaptureLog is being used.

  • CDC Table Management - You can filter on ‘Enabled’, highlight the row and click the disable button upper right on panel to disable capture log for the selected tables.
