This was huge for us –(currently on V803)

1)      I created a UD100 table to storage all our certifications

2)      Customer master has a checkbox = certs required

3)      In Order entry I created a new sheet for certs and then order entry selects the appropriate cert

4)      In shipping I have FKV (customer) and when checkbox is true a field in shipping is highlighted to tell shipping customer needs certs

5)      BAQ report – Certs shipping enters packing slip # - cert information prints based on what was added in order entry.

 

Works for us.

We customized a button on our shipping screen for printing a C of C but it needs work because there is nothing indicating whether a C of C is required with the shipment.  I would rather have it automatically generate with the shipping paperwork when it is printed if a C of C is needed.

There is the rub. What indicates a C of C is required.

If always,  a separate report style, a statement at the bottom of the packer or a subreport on the packer would be the options.

If by customer, a checkbox on the customer should be transferred to a checkbox on the sales order line.

If by part, a checkbox on the part should be transferred to the sale order line.

If by sales order line, a checkbox on the sales order line.

From the above options, you can then control whether you produce a C of C.

 

From almost all of the instances I have encountered, a simple paragraph certifying the parts at the bottom of the packer satisfies most all customers unless there are some pieces of specific information required.
