We have several parts for which we use the same internal part cross reference. When we type in that cross reference in Part Maintenance or in a Sales Order to search for the specific part, we would like to see the part description in the search box to help us choose the correct part. How do we change the search box? The current fields are Part number, ID, Name and Type. I’m not sure what ID and Name are but those two fields are always blank.
I think you’re probably going to be stuck doing a form customization.

I don’t think you will be able to use any of the “built-in” tools for creating custom/BAQ searches in this case. Due to the required input parameter(s) and/or the need to return multiple key values?
As far as I know, end users can’t modify any of the standard search forms in Epicor.
(without special/additional licensing… i.e. source code).
