Hello. Our company was acquired and now our fiscal year must change from Dec-Nov to a calendar Initially, we just added a 13th period in this year to address the problem. However, after more consideration, I am concerned about running comparison financial statements and what confusion that will add to our users. Obviously, it is 12/22 so we don’t have a lot of time plus we have data that has already posted in December
I am wondering others that may have already gone through this type of change to provide some great success &/or things to avoid given this change. I am wondering if we should have added a suffix to our year for the December period; but I don’t understand how that works and if we can made that change after the month has posted transactions. Any suggestion or advice welcome.
