Venky - Do you use the S/O module to set up jobs and generate manufacturing
suggestions? Our sales dept start the process, and they also make the ship
date changes. This generates the "change" manufacturing suggestions. We have
to go into each job and manually update the changes. But from the "links"
screen, at least everything can be updated and rescheduled and engineered
from one place.
I have heard that the MRP module might do some of this for you, sort of
automatically, for jobs that are "unfirm". We are exploring buying this
module, for that reason and to update other areas of jobs, like time
standards and work centers.
