Changing the SalesRep for a Territory - How to update CRM Customer Records

Before I put in a request with Epiccare, I wanted to check with the Epiusers Gurus first.

Here is the problem (CRM Module is installed):

  1. We change out a SalesRep from an exiting territory (i.e. remove one and replace them with another).
  2. Once that SalesRep is changed, the Customer Record still refelcts the OLD salesrep and is not updated.
  3. If a customer’s STATE is re-aligned to a new territory, the customer records that had that state (that was re-aligned) are not changed to the new territory.

Is there some process, a conversion, or something that needs to be run to correct this?

Any help would be appreciated. TIA

It is in the Action Menu for Sales Territory Maintenance. You can run it for all territories or the one you currently have open in the screen.

We are testing this now, thank you!

Testing the “adjust territory” and “adjust all territories” - It runs a process, but after looking at the customers, they are still showing the old territory and the old Sales Rep. When we click on “get territory” on an individual customer record, it does update to the new territory and sales rep. Perhaps this is a bug…

We will wait and mess around a little longer, but might need to put this in a ticket through epiccare - what you suggest seems to be the “right” thing to do to make this work.

It is odd though that we have 30,000+ records and the process is only taking seconds to run, that seems like an indicator of something not happening correctly in the back-end…

I used it back in 10.0 and it worked. Did you update the territories with the new sales rep and the new states?

We are in the latest version of Kinetic (very buggy still), and we did update the territories with the new sales rep and the states (moved a state from one and moved it to another) and ran both the update all and the update territory.

Thank you for your responses, we are going to try this again and confirm a couple of times.

Good luck!

Thanks, we are going to push this through epiccare now.

Thanks again.

@jkane

Literally, after submitting an epiccare request, our IT Director @r0lovic found one additional step beyond, Adjust All/Adjust Territory - there is a “Post” option further down the overflow menu…

This seemed to apply all the changes correctly. Thank you for your assistance!!!

My best. Joe
