Costing Workbench - Cost Rollup max parts selected

We are receiving an error message when we try to do a cost rollup of all our 5,000 manufactured parts under one costing group. Is there a max limitation of the number of parts you can rollup at once or any workaround?

Error message: “ERROR condition. csopTtablnRequest Protocol Error. (7211)”

Its somewhere in the 2000 - 3000 part range is our experience. We wrote
quick search to load by either part class or product group depending how
you use those fields so we could break the batch into smaller pieces for
the cost roll loading of initial parts

Is this a known Epicor bug or a design limitation? Are you doing a select all with your quick search which limits your part selection between 2000 - 3000?

I would say a design limitation mainly due to performance but it’s been
years since I asked about it so I don’t remember the last response.

If the part class or product groups still contain too many parts to stay
within the limit we would have to load several batches so you would have to
remember your part range you last rolled. Maybe keep an excel file
highlighted with those parts already rolled and then start your next batch
with the next range of parts
