Joanne,
I don't know much about setting up in Version5.10 as I am only on 4.00.
But I have recently researched accepting credit cards. The best offer
has been through our bank.
We looked at using a their service online. They use Lynk Systems.
When the customer gives us the credit card info - we can enter in the
computer system - at that time they will check if credit is available.
You are able to check a toggle box to bill later - if you are not
shipping the same day.
Also, when you are looking into credit cards - here are a few questions
I asked.
Do they charge a different rate for international cards vs domestic.
Do they charge a different rate for corporate cards.
Cost Equipment? (if you do not use Virtual Terminal)
Cost of Setup?
A nnual Fee?
Programming fee?
Do they charge a "Charge Back Fee" (if customer disputes charges)
Do they require a reserve account (normaly for chargebacks) Also - found
out for high volume customers.
Termination / Cancellatin Fees?
How long is your contract?
Is Amex Card a Different Rate.
Minimum Charge?
Monthly Charge?
Statement Fee?
If you go Virtual Terminal is there an access fee? - is this the monthly
fee or an additional.
Rates? Is it a percentage + a specific amount per transaction (2% +10
cents per transaction)
Also How long do they Guarantee not to raise their rates.
I think that might cover it. I hope this is what you were looking for.
Best Regards,

We are being asked by a customer to accept credit card payment. I
found where to setup the credit card but the question is what are the
necessary steps in getting paid by the credit card company? Is a copy
of the invoice sent, do you call each credit card company for
authorization? Any suggestions would be helpful. TIA.
