Crystal Confusion

We have just worked through the sales order ack issues. Vantage does
have a known bug in the sales order acknowledgement. Have Vantage send
you the latest form. They are supposed to be providing a fix in the
6.00.5.17 release.

Thanks.

Getting closer. I am actually working two things at once. BTW V5.2
Crystal
8.5.

I am modifing the Sales Order Acknoledgement (SOform.rpt). I added a VB
Form
to the Order Line with a series of Check Boxes indicating the
Certification
requirments. When I run the report from Vantage I get Error 599. When
I do
a print preview from Crystal the check box fields display but do not
toggle
from false to true when checked.

Not sure if I have a problem in the VB form or the report or both.

We did get the Quote form to finally work though.

Thanks for the help.

Wayne

Wayne,

In case you did not see Shirley's post - here it is;

When linking two different field types in crystal ie (numeric - alpha)
(alpha - numeric), create a calculated field to convert to the desired
data type. TOTEXT(NUMERIC FIELD) or TONUMBER(ALPHA FIELD). If I recall
correctly it seems to work best when you do your conversion in the
master report to the sub report. Sub report has numeric data in alpha
field. Corresponding field in master report is numeric. In master
report convert your numeric data to alpha using TOTEXT( NUMERIC MASTER
REPORT FIELD) then use the converted field in your link to the sub
report.

Hi group I need HELP!

I am by no means a Crystal Report Wizard. I probably know enough to be

I am trying to create a sub report using OrderHed.OrderNum as the link

the SubReort.

The Subreport comes up but none of the fields are populated.

When I look at the format of OrderNum on the main report it is a text
string. On the Subreport it is an integer. Is this why? If so how do
I
fix it. If not any other ideas?

By the way this is related to the earlier Quote Report string.
