Crystal Labels

Thanks Mike. You got me on the right track and I was able to get this
working. The problem apparently was caused by some conflicting Zebra 140
print drivers. I also had our Label Matrix label design software installed
on these machines and it had it's own built in print drivers for the Zebra
printer that apparently didn't get totally overridden when I installed the
standard Zebra 2.5 print drivers. I got rid of all of these files,
re-installed the standard Zebra driver and now both Vantage with Crystal and
Label Matrix work. Thanks again.

Tim,

I was having a problems with Zebra not remembering a saved label size. I was
told to uninstall the driver manually. The following are the instructions.
It was sent to me by Zebra Tech Support.. It may help.
______________________________________________________
Occasionally, deleting the v2.1, v2.2, v2.3, v2.4 & v2.5 Windows 95/98
driver from the Printers folder does not eliminate all the files that are
associated with the driver. This procedure will show you how to manually
delete the driver files. NOTE: Before attempting this procedure you should
delete the driver from your Printers folder and reboot your system. To
delete the files that our driver loads you will need to go to the
C:\Windows\System directory and check for the following files. If any of the
files exist, please delete them:

Zprint.drv
Zprint.cfg
Zebra.bmp
Zebra.cnt
Zebra.hlp
Zebra.GID
Zdlg.dll
Zpi21.dll
Zbcd21.dll
Zbd21.dll
Zbar.fot
Zbar.ttf
Zbarhri.fot
Zbarhri.ttf

Optionally, you can delete the bitmap file associated with your printer. For
example, if you have the driver loaded for the S500 printer, you would have
a S500.bmp file in the C:\Windows\System directory.

You will also need to go to the C:\Windows directory and delete the
following file:

ZPrint.ini

Once you have deleted all the files you should reboot your PC. Please be
sure to reboot before installing another Zebra Printer Driver.

Just wondering if anyone is printing any Crystal (7.0) shipping labels from
Vantage (4.0) to a Zebra 140XI. It seems to be able to print these labels
fine with the Vantage data (after doing a print preview in Vantage and
verifying the database) directly from within Crystal, but when I select that
same printer and label (linked in Report Style maint.) from within Vantage,
the printer does not respond. Not sure if it's a driver or Vantage issue.
I'm using the latest Zebra driver (win95) 2.5.
