I forgot to mention I upgraded to runtime sp4 I don't think I would have got it without the bartender driver and sp4. Be careful that you didn't install the x64 version our something that will make Epicor freak. I got my runtime from the Christina ftp folder on ftpmls

Oh darn!

I am still having a problem. I created a 2” x ½ “ receiving label.

I am the Crystal Developer and upgraded Crystal 2008 to version 12.4.0.966.
Runtime is Service pack 4.

I am using the Bartender driver.

I have no problem printing the labels.

In receiving the computer is XP. I downloaded the service pack 4 and
installed it on the receiving computer. When I rebooted and tried to print
preview I received an error message that it was not the correct version. So
I reverted back to the old runtime.

The problem, is the orientation and I am going nuts trying to understand why
it will not print correctly.

It is hard because it is not a Epicor Problem or a Crystal problem or a
Zebra printer problem according the calls I have made.

Has anyone had this problem?

I did indeed. I ended up removing the UPS provided zebra driver and going
to a Seagull BarTender driver. In addition to that change I created a
custom label format for the 4x2 labels. Everything printed from crystal as
I wanted, and the UPS labels from InSite were golden.

however. when trying to print from UPS Worldship. apparently they treat
the printer differently than a normal program, those labels would come out
blank. I wound up going into the printer settings with worldship, marking
the printer as a "Generic Thermal Printer" and creating another preset
label format for UPS for the printer. Result is now when they need to
print out of Worldship they have to remember to switch presets from the
4x2 to the UPS and then back. A pain indeed, but at least functional
until we can figure out a better solution.

The only other thing I noticed is that, as it was setup before with the
Zebra drivers, it would print back to back quickly. Now after each label
there is a 1 second pause. Anyone know how to get around that? I was
thinking it might have to do with the font rendering or something? No
idea.

Hi!

In fact, when I'm printing labels, I create a special user setting for the document to print in the printer settings.... this way, the computer from which you print is not important at all....

I ended up installing Bartenders Printer Driver over Zebras and that seemed to fix it for me. Installed Seagull drivers, created custom label format, and all is well.

We had a problem with label printing out of Crystal. It worked fine from the developer version but the run time turned it or cut off part. The runtime version SP4 fixed this.

Why don't you create 2 printers pointing to same printer a d each saved
with the different preset.
We use that solution for invoices and cheques that need to go to a special
tray in our multiple tray printer.

I use monarch printers and i send their custom code language so bit goes
very fast about 6 inch a second
