Bruce, depending on your formulas and what they're evaluating, you can
try WhileReadingRecords(). This occurs at the time Crystal is reading
from the dataset; prior to WhilePrintingRecords().
The problem you have is the charts are also generated during the
processing phase of WhilePrintingRecords.
Depending on what you are actually doing, if that doesn't work, consider
doing the formulas at the BAQ level with a Calculated Field (assuming
you are on version 8.03x and are doing a BAQ Report). If you're using
ODBC and Progress, you are out of luck. If you are using ODBC and SQL,
you could also create a SQL View to perform your formulas, too.

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal Power Users Question
I run the evaluation time function "Whileprintingrecords" within most of
my formulas dependant on need. Using this prevents me from creating
Charts on those group-totaled formulas. Is there a way to get around
this?
Thank you,
