Crystal Report Distr/DSN Setup

Peter,

1 of 2 things is in error:

1. Access rights on the registry key for the ODBC driver are not
correct. The user needs to have rights to this registry key:
H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\Progress91D

2. The drive that was used to install the network version of
progress is not mapped or the user does not have access to this drive.

These are 2 common problems that will give you error messages with the
ODBC driver from Merant.

Hope this helps; feel free to contact me if you need additional help.

Thanks,

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal Report Distr/DSN Setup

We are trying to create a DSN for Vantage on a Windows NT 4.0 client
that we wish to distribute Crystal Reports to and are getting the
following message from ODBC Administrator: "The setup routines for
the MERANT 3.60 32-Bit Progress SQL92 V9.1D ODBC driver could not be
accessed. Please reinstall the driver". A follow-up message
says: "The setup routines for the %s ODBC driver could not be
accessed. Please reinstall the driver". Any ideas? The PC has the
Vantage client installed and the file PGPRO915.DLL is present in the
C:\WINNT\system32 folder. We are on Vantage 6.1. Thank you in advance
for any and all help!

Sincerely,
