Here are a couple of things I have had to do to get Crystal to run on
clients:
1. Use a server DSN instead of a file DSN on the client, setup as
administrator using ODBC Administrator. Need to do this if you are using
subreports.
2. Change the users default printer to the one used when creating the
report, or you get this error "cannot open SQL server" during the setup.
3. Run the "left outer join fix" for each user, or you get this error
"error in database dll"
4. Make sure the user has a drive mapped to the data base or you get this
error "setup routines for the Merant 3.60 32-bit Progress ... could not
be loaded due to system error code 126".
5. The merant driver is installed with the progress client.
6. Merant error "The setup routines for the Merant 3.60 32-bit Progress
SQL92 v9.1D ODBC driver could not be accessed". Manually edit this registry
key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\MERANT 3.60 32-BIT Progress
SQL92 v9.1D
The “SETUP” value should be “U:\progress\bin\PGPRO915S.DLL”
The “S” was missing after the PGPRO915. This “S” is for “system” DSN.

run
I've done all of that. On some user's machines it works great!
Some get an error when I run the setup.exe and won't work. On the
Citrix servers, they won't run at all through Vantage.
