The font (just Arial) is installed on both the server & client. My PC prints properly from Crystal report developer (so it finds the font), but doesn't print properly directly from Epicor. Does Epicor do anything special with the fonts? I had assumed it all was specified in the Crystal report .rpt file.
Should have mentioned I've also tried on different PCs and on the server, different printers... same symptoms. Also tried with the standard Epicor crystal report instead of my customized one... same symptoms.
Any other suggestions?
Brian.

Following Vic's line, could it be that your Epicor Server (and/or Client Server) does not have the proper font physically installed? (...... but it is installed in the machine where your Crystal Developer software resides?).
I have experienced similar issues with Barcodes, and most, if not all the times has to do with the DataWorks (Barcode) font not being installed at the Server level.

Brian,
Have you tried different fonts with the same result?

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal reports - printing non-ASCII symbols from Epicor
I've got a problem with Crystal reports printed from Epicor not handling non-ASCII symbols correctly. Accented letters in (supplier or customer names) or m³ (cubic meters) print as boxes or garbage symbols from printed from an Epicor generated Crystal report. However, they print properly from the Crystal report designer, and I can't figure out how Epicor's printing process is different.
- Epicor 9.50.603, US English (no country specific modules), Crystal runtime 2008 Runtime SP3
- The non-ASCII symbols are stored in the database, appear properly in Epicor UI screens, in database queries, etc
- The non-ASCII symbols appear properly in the Epicor generated XML file
- Using that XML file in Crystal report designer works - report previews and prints properly
- Printing directly from Epicor (same data, same report) doesn't work
A help call in to Epicor went nowhere. Any suggestions on how Epicor's printing process is different?
Thanks,
Brian.
