Customer Shipment Entry > Tracking Details Button: Works on some PCs, not on others

The tracking details button in Customer Shipment Entry works on some PCs, but not on others. For our test packID, the button always opens the FedEx website on all PCs, however some PCs will get a FedEx error while others see the tracking data. The error is:

“Unfortunately we are unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later.”

We’ve compared Windows builds, .NET versions, and deleted/re-installed Epicor on the problem computers. We have used the same windows user and Epicor user on both working PCs and non-working PCs.

Is there some default setting in Windows blocking part of the FedEx URL stored in ShipVia from getting passed through? Is there some setting in Edge that needs to be updated? Anyone else having this?

The workaround from Epicor is to copy/paste the tracking into the vendor (e.g. FedEx) website. That works, but is a pain.

Thanks.

@Adam I don’t know if this applies to your issue, but we had some tracking issues that we solved by adding our own buttons…

I saw someone else post this, and I think it could help you too. Make sure Web Access is turned on for every user.

Thanks. But in our testing, using the same user, the button works on one PC, but then doesn’t work on another PC. Both PCs have a fresh install of Epicor.

The Windows build and .NET versions are the same. It’s happening on a set of new machines that we recently installed, but not on the older machines.
