Customer specific data holder in 5.1 or 5.2?

One way to accommodate this need (and how we handle this) would be to have these
comments stored in a central location such as Customer Maintenance comments.
Then, procedurally, have your customer service people copy these comments to the
appropriate comment areas in Order Entry. The downside to this method is that
it relies on people to follow a set procedure (egads!).

An alternative method would be to hard code these types of comments into the
appropriate form using Crystal suppressing the printing of this text unless the
appropriate customer was selected.

Don't know if this answers your question but some thoughts on a potential
workaround available on the release you're currently using.

We are still on 5.0.

Does 5.1 or 5.2 (or any buzz on future releases) have a method to store and
output customer specific requirements such as "All of my items must be
individually identified", or "Each of our shipments must be shipped ONLY on
the required ship date", or "Each of our shipments must be bar coded in an
exact and specific method"?

We are currently using a crappy paper method and it is RAPIDLY getting to be
a big pain in the butt.

TIA
