Deleting a Machine

Ben,

In my experience, no, you cannot. However, what you can do is create
another work center, e.g. Inactive Machines, and then, through machine
maintenance, reassign the machine to that work center. When you create the
new work center, define a custom production calendar for it and define the
workweek as having no workdays.

I called tech support on this recently. You cannot delete the machine but
you can remove it from the workcenter. This is done from the machine master
file not the WC master file. Just go into the machine in the wc master file
and change the SC to unused. You could also rename the machine by putting a
'Z' in front of it so that is shows at the end of lists.
