We have 9 different departments, using the different Groups assigned in Job Entry for designation. We will often have parts go on DMR that will then be waiting for customer disposition for up to 2 weeks. Is there a way to put the parts in an inventory Bin ( each department would have there own “MRB” BIN ) during the time we are waiting for the disposition? Goal would be to easily see what is in each department MRB awaiting disposition.
Also, we produce a product that sometimes does not meet a spec requirement, it will go on a DMR and dispositioned as scrap. This scrap material cannot be sold to our customers but can be used for our own internal testing. How best to handle the scrap material? We would ideally like the scrap material to be turned into its own part number after a scrap disposition and put into inventory to be issued to jobs for internal testing.
