Joanne, we fax the PO to ourselves, save the fax file with the SO number in
the file name, and the button on the VB form runs a small VB Program that
opens that file. To make it easier, we included a field on the VB form
where we enter the SO number if the PO is available to be viewed. That way
the user knows as soon as he opens the VB form if the PO is there.
Otherwise they click on the button and wonder why nothing happens. You do
not get an error or message if there is no PO to view. The program behind
the button is:
shellexec
v:\Vantage\VBforms\CustomerPOs\{OrderHed.CHAR-FIELD_1.scrvalue}.g3n

That is something we could use. Could you tell us the steps to create the
VB button for this. I'm sure that this would be apprecitated. Thanks.

We use a VB form to "link" our customer's PO to our Sales Order. A button
on the VB form opens a scanned or faxed image of the PO for the SO you are
viewing. Works well. We do not have the Doc Management module.
