Dual Processors

I've just finished trials and will bring on line a dual processor server
tomorrow.

Tyan S2462 Thunder K7 Motherboard
Onboard ATI Rage video
Twin Onboard 3com 908 10/100 Nics
Twin Onboard Adaptec Scuzzi ports
1Ghz Ddram Memory, at a 266 Mhz memory bus
Twin AMD K7 1.2 Ghz Processors,
6 15000 rpm Western Digital Scuzzi drives configured off of a 4
channel UDMA 160 Adaptec Card (hot swappable) as 3 Raid 0/1 drives
A 30 gig, Maxtor boot drive.

Not trying to sound like Tim Allen, but this bad boy ROCKS!!

Subject: [Vantage] Dual Processors

Does Vantage support dual processors?
We just upgraded to 5.0 and have a noticeable decrease in performance.
We are running a Dell PowerEdge 4400 with 2 mirrored 18gb 10,000 rpm
H/D's, 512 ram, and a single 800 mhz xeon processor.
We have 60 users and 16 data collection stations.
I am going to double the RAM, but am not sure whether an extra
processor would be worth it.

Thanks,

Yup. You'll need to update the -spin setting in your config.

Done any tuning since the install? Check out this link:

There's also a dump & load process from Epicor that some folks have
reported an improvement from.
