We stuck with ACT ourselves after testing the base Epicor CRM features and found it lacking as well as clunky to use.
We use a lot of attaching emails to contacts to follow a history of communication as well as having proactive alerts coming up for activities.
We looked at Salesforce and the integration until we found how much that integration costs.
We're now likely to make the migration to Saleslogix and use Service Connect to write our own integration of Epicor to Saleslogix for various elements in Epicor.
