I believe non-quantity-bearing parts don't show.

When you run the stock status – what checkboxes did you click?

I have found difference in costing method between Part and PartPlant.

We also received some product with Typecode K in from RMA’s and they did not print on the stockstatus.

Also look at the differences between sysdate on the transaction vs trandate can cause problems.

Run the Inventory/WIP Reconciliation report for un posted transaction in prior fiscal periods and years.

Hi Cathy,

Accounting needs this.
After 4 years of being on Epicor, we are just finding that our inventory GL was never reconciled to Stock Status.
We now have a big gap and we have never captured Stock Status at the end of the month so we need some way to accurately recreate stock status on a given day. With the limitation of the canned Stock Status report, for historical dates, our only choice is to create our own.

Hello,

I am trying to create a query that will allow me to recreate the information on Stock Status from any point in time.
I was thinking that I would need to connect PartTran to PartFIFOTran in order to get the actual cost of a transaction. (We use FIFO costing).

I also assumed I would link the two tables with the field TranNum.
I then noticed that if a transaction pulled a quantity that spanned multiple cost layers, that I would have a record in PartFIFOTran for each cost layer.
This made sense but then I came across a PartTran that has 149 PartFIFOCost records and the transaction quantity was only 1.

I can adjust my query to account for this but this total blew my mind.
Anyone have an idea of why this would be?

Each PartFIFOTran record has a TranQty of zero except for one of them, which makes it even more weird.

Who really wants this?

Sometimes we put too much work into something because of the customer that really gives no benefit.

What are they getting out of this information – a few dollars?

Subject: [Vantage] E9: Understanding PartFIFOTran
