We have to do the same thing. I made a report builder report that shows the
vacation hours entered and we have to use that report and change the hours
on that day from Regular to Vacation.

I am having a problem getting the vacation and sick hours to transfer
from Data Collection to the payroll. When I "Generate Checks" the
vacation and sick hours do not transfer and I have to go back and
manually change from regular hours. I am running 5.2. We do not
allocate vacation on a periodic basis (weekly) but in annual lump based
on years of service. Any suggestions?

The vacation accrual works pretty well for us. You just set up the
amount that is accrued each week for each
employee (ie: 1.54 hours/wk for 2 weeks vacation). Vantage updates it
when payroll is processed and subtracts the amount that
was used. It also has "sick time" which you could probably use for
your Personal time accrual. Our employees like seeing it on their
check and it has really cut down on the questions about how much
vacation time they have left, etc.

BlankWe are getting ready to install the 6.1 upgrade in a test
environment
next week and will take several months to study it before we go live.
I
have been asked a question by the payroll department and was hoping
someone
could help.
Does 6.1 have a way to track Vacation and Personal time accrued and
used by
employees? We currently use data collection to gather our payroll
data and
then export the files to a payroll service, so we are just looking for
a way
to track vacation.
Thank you
