I apologize if this has been discussed before, I tried doing a search and couldn't find anything. We are having a small issue with scheduling regarding our subcontract operations. It works fine when our subcontract operations are on time (vendor delivers per PO due date). The problem we have is when the vendors are late. We need to be able to update the po date so that the schedule will reflect the new due date of the PO and push out the remaining job operations/job delivery date -> but we need to also maintain the orig due date for vendor performance reporting. I see there are 2 fields on the PO release, so I am assuming I have to do something there.
Could anyone offer advice on how they handle this? Do you change the PO Due Date to the new date and put the promise date as the orig due date? So then the schedule will come off the po due date ajnd reflect the revised date, but the vendor performance reporting you would do off the promise date? Appreciate any advice on how others handle this.
