We are on prem with separate virtual servers for app and db on same host, so inter server ping is minimal, and client ping in this office is if the order of 1ms. And on 2023.1
But certain operations seem very slow- eg adding parts to large boms, add many lines to a PO. Staff report up to 20 sec delay between adding a line and system being ready to accept the next.
I saw this importing PO lines via DMT also: if the PO had around a hundred lines or more the DMT would absolutely crawl, dropping from multiple lines a second to multiple minutes per line. It felt like some exponential dependency on the line count, as if to add each line it would read or write the entire PO.
The problem is worse for our USA staff as the servers are here in New Zealand and their web clients have around 190ms ping latency to them.
I did find the browser to be much faster for them than the Kinetic Client, just not nearly as fast as we would like!
Would welcome others’ thoughts.
