Error with currency conversion converting Quote to Order

We upgraded Epicor to 10.1.600.11 from 10.1.400.25 and now we can’t use the Get Opportunity/Quote functionality in Order Entry. The error we’re getting is: “Currency conversion exchange record was not found for currency code USD to currency code CAD”. It happens for both new quotes and quotes from before the upgrade.

The currency exchanges are set properly so I’m not sure why we’re getting that error. We have a ticket with Epicor but they’re being slow. Anyone seen an error like that?

We’re seeing a very similar currency error message testing 10.2.100 in Bank Statement Processing. We also have a ticket in with Epicor. Our upgrade was from 10.0.700 through 10.1, so it certainly could be 10.1 related.

Presume you do not have Multi-currency… but if you can, load the Company Config as needed… and rt-clk from within Company Config to evaluate the currency rate-tables.
I figger the code that is giving u problems was written w/o checking to see if multi-curr was used, but is auditing the currency tables…
Go figure!

Hi Joe,

We definitely have multi-currency and I’m pretty sure that Pedro does as well.

@pmarques, our case number is CS0000671340 if you want to cross-reference it with Support. If you send me your case, I’ll add it to mine. We were assigned Paula N.

Thanks!

Mark W.

Our case number is CS0000674535.

We do have the multi-currency module and everything else seems to be working ok.

@Mark_Wonsil, @pmarques did you get the solution?

We ended up getting a one-off database fix from Epicor with the case number listed above.

Mark is on 10.2 I believe so his experience seems to be different than mine.

A problem was created (PRB0190761) and it’s showing as Rejected even though support said it was going to be fixed on 10.2.200. We’re still on 10.1.600, and were told that the fix would not be back ported to our version.

The error happens when you’re quoting in a currency different than your base, and at least in our case, only when there’s a discount in one of the lines, which is really bizarre.
