Does anyone have any recommendations on 3rd-party Field Service platforms that fall between out-of-the-box Field Service module and FSA? I know Bezlio is a possible solution but looking to see if anyone has experience with other options out there?
Epicor has the replacement for FSA coming with 10.2.500 which is due in October.
Yeah, partnering with MSI, right? Hopefully it will be a better option than FSA was . . . and have less Certification questions about it. : )
Would still like to hear feedback on that or any others if possible. More robust mobile capabilities is what my client is looking for. The Epicor Field Service module gets them about 80% of the way there, but just falls short with mobile; especially signature capture.
The trouble with this and the FSA solution, is, if you have a customer that uses field service, and then they want to take it mobile, they have to dump most of their data and start again.
We are working with a customer who is going to be using Bezlio and we are looking at automating some of the field service in Epicor, mainly by enhancing the serial number table and creating calls directly of the back of that, so they can still use the original data. I think this is the better solution.
Also we sold FSA to a customer who is currently using Epicor Mobile Field Service, the original Australian one, and the rug was pulled, so we are picking it up as soon as MSI is available, so I will be able to let you know.
I agree, maintaining as much data within Epicor is key. Bezlio is at the top of my list but just wanted to make sure there wasn’t another option out there that’s been flying under the radar. Thanks Andy!
That would be feedback I’d love to hear. Thanks for being willing to share. I’m working with a customer now who was so excited about the original EMFS and was not happy when it got pulled. Never a dull moment.
FSA was very feature rich, we had just upgrade the customer and done the FSA installation when we found out.
