Form customization - adding character01 field to entry screen

Go into development mode, open the form, go to tools, customization.
When the customization screen comes up go to tools, toolbox. You will be
able to add a text box to the form and then bind it to whatever field
you want to. You will then have to save the customization and then go to
menu maintenance so that your new form is called rather than the default
system form

Subject: [Vantage] Form customization - adding character01 field to
entry screen

Is anyone aware of documentation that describes how to add a custom
field to a data entry form that is bound to the table.field and is
read/writeable?

I would like to add additional search terms to my part database and be
able to maintain them through the part maintenance screen.

Many thanks,

Jim Pratt
