Looking to bolster votes on some of my older ones:
Edit/Modify Search - KIN-I-4161
It would be nice to have a “Modify Search” button that re-opens the search panel with all the previously entered criteria which could be edited and re-submitted.
Add Assembly Navigation to Job Entry/Tracker Activity Tab - KIN-I-4861
Currently, a user has to select the desired assembly on the Assemblies Tab. Then go to the Activity Tab… they can then navigate through each operation/material etc. pertinent to that Assembly. However, if they want to view a different assembly… they have to return to the Assemblies Tab (tree collapses and they have to re-expand to the desired spot, which is overly tedious on large jobs!)… highlight a new Assembly and then go back to the Activity tab to see details.
Kinetic Menu Maintenance Search - Add Reference to Menu Path - KIN-I-5354
In the new Kinetic Menu Maintenance, the bottom option is to perform a menu search.
We can then pull in several menus at once, all (15) Part Trackers for example.
Once the search results are pulled in, there should either
- (A) be a column showing the menu PATH for each. - or -
- (B) Show the menu tree on the left which updates as you change rows in the grid.
Right now we just get a list of (15) different Part Trackers, the menu names, but not the full path of where each resides. So, if we wanted to add a customization to (5) of them, there’s no way easy way to know which (5) we need to update.

and another issue I’ve had several times with the Country functionality:
Change the Erp.Country table to be OUTSIDE the Company hierarchy, similar to Erp.UserFile

I was following that thread as well. I was blown away that the Country Description plays a role in the ACH process where it should just be referencing the ISO code. Still not sure I understand that one.

I don’t KNOW this, but I would imagine that it’s been that way since Vantage (possibly longer) and just never updated. The wheel isn’t squeaky enough yet.

Include OpenTelemetry libraries for both Cloud and On-Prem.
Allow logging to multiple sinks to keep users from having to download/parse the Event Log in the Admin folder.

Well, I’ll pimp for mine too. Ability to customize Quick Sship Reports. Thanks to all who have already voted on this.
Use Job Status Dashboard instead -
It shows all of the materials and operation for the job and the status.
Plus all of the labor and part transactions - this is without navigating to the various assemblies.
Understood… but when you’re already in Job Entry doing other things, it would be a heck of a lot easier to see details there vs going to a whole different dashboard.

The solution which you describe would be just to put the dashboard on the activity tab

The data is already accessible on Job Entry, they just didn’t make navigation very easy. It’s an “Idea” to improve useability and efficiency.
You could say the same with Order Entry. If you’re on the release, you can navigate through all lines and releases utilizing the navigation tools.
The data is already there… they already have the tools to implement it. I don’t see the issue in asking for the improvement.

Here’s mine:
Allow System.Object to be used in BPMs and | Epicor Ideas Portal (aha.io)
This will allow for returning objects from functions, instead of having to design JSON strings manually.

How does this idea STILL only have 6 votes? Seriously? Come on people get it together. There are like 60 different threads on this very forum asking how to turn routing off by default.

We never hang the route in the primary style. Primary style is for one off prints etc, the Routing stuff we always hang on 2nd or 3rd Style to make sure it is intentional.

Yes that is our workaround too and I commented that on the idea. But the workaround shouldn’t be needed, should just be able to control the default if I want to.
