Our experience is similar to yours. We rarely have more than 4-5
users on the system (pre-production). We have 325,000 parts, 3,000
open jobs, long BOMs and BOLs. When we go live, we'll have around
200 concurrent users.
We estimate that MRP on our system would take over a week to finish
but we haven't had the time to wait for it. The good news is that
Epicor is delivering a dramatically faster MRP soon. We also see
similarly unacceptable performance from Stock Status and Inventory
WIP Reconcilliation - both also soon to be replace by faster
versions.
I agree that record counts have a big impact on performance but I'm
also concerned that a large number of concurrent users will make
things much worse.
