Well that is a different statement. PartFIFOCost.SourceTranNum should correlate with a PartTran.TranNum…

Thanks Stephen.
I probably wouldn’t care too much about the gaps but what brought this to my attentions is that I was reviewing PartFIFOCost and it has a field called SourceTranNum, which I assumed is the source PartTran record, and some of these SourceTranNum values do not
have an associated PartTran record.

It is not an issue there are several race conditions that can cause this to happen but it is not really a problem.

Subject: [Vantage] Gaps in PartTran.TranNum
Hello,
Does anyone know if Epicor would intentionally have gaps in PartTran.TranNum?
I’ve been chasing an inventory issue that looks to stem back to when we were on 9.04.
It looks like there might be missing PartTran records.
For example, if I run a query to show PartTran records where TranNum is between 210280 and 210300, the expectation is that I would have 21 records.
But I only have 12.
210280 to 210283 and 210296 to 210300 are missing but I don’t know for sure if this is an issue.
