Can someone explain how the heirarchy of the multiple areas a part setting can be adjusted affects how an unfirm job is created?

  1. Site setting for the part MTO/MTS trumps any changes downstream?

A. For instance we have a part marked nonstock false qty bearing true signifying make to stock at the site level. If someone checks the nonstock true box will that override and make to order?

B. If both site and part record settings are make to stock (nonstock false qty bearing true) but someone marks the part make direct on the sales order does that trump every other setting?

As with most hierarchies in Kinetic, specific wins over generic. Make to Order on the Sales Order? Very specific. Site less specific. Part, most generic.
