Well it depends on the timing... if the shippment comes from manufacting
and the cost are correct in the same month that they ship it goes with cost
of sales -- if the cost are corrected in a following month then the cost
goes to COS through closing just not witht the invoice (leaving the GMReport
in Vantage useless)
if it is posted to inventory as finished goods all cost issued to the job
after the second they are posted goes directly to Variance...

We are debating when this happens:
When a job is complete - but not closed - and you still have material to
issue to the job, can you do so without the costs hitting a variance
account?
Now if a job is closed, but now you realize that you have material to
issue,
can you reopen the job and will the costs hit the right accounts, or will
it
still hit a variance account?
Wondering where in the process it starts to hit the variance accounts with
the different scenarios.
All help greatly appreciated!
