How do you identify the last last sequence in a job?

In versions up to 6.1

The Final Operation flag was required in order to flag any operation as
the final op

In version 8.00 onwards

If the final operation flag is not checked it uses the maximum operation
sequence in assembly 0

Therefore the checkbox is only required where the final operation is not
the last. Use the maximum function if required in a report or BAQ or
suppress where the oprseg <> Maximum oprseq

There is a check box for "final operation" in the detail for the
job/part.

JobAsmbl.FinalOper contains the operation sequence which is checked as
the final operation. This can be very helpful in getting the information
you want without reading all operation sequences for at job.

Good morning. Please don't misconstue this suggestion as an oversimplication but in response to the query as posed: by checking any operation as "Final" you are self-identifying the last operation. When the technician logs out of the sequence (or any sequence for that matter) she may, and is prompted to, state the number of good vs. scrap parts. All sequence ask for the same info when logging out. This data can be used to track operation overruns among other things.
If your selected final operation is in fact what is used then reports can easily identify, usually by sequence completion flag, the last used sequence and resultant patrts production.
Am I on the right track here?

We set-up a labor operation called "final operation" - This is the last
operation put on the job and also is required on all jobs. When the job
is finished the quanitiy of parts are completed against this operation.
