That is nuts! (Glad there is a fix utility.)
You'd think the shipped status would be locked as part of the inv selection process OR the inv process would detect that "the record has been modified by another user" and stop cold on it.
Fun being a beta tester isn't it? (:o

Yeah. Crazy, huh? Can't mark it shipped, because it's invoiced, and
can't un-invoice, because it's posted. Can't relieve inventory, because
it's reserved for the already invoiced, yet still open, release. Can't
close the release, because it has an unrelieved reservation.
Turns out, we aren't the first folks to do this! I guess there's a
possible timing issue if one person is un-marking shipped at the same
time as someone else pulling into invoice. There's a fixit program we
are going to try- here's hoping it relieves inventory. I foresee a BPM
that checks for "ready to invoice" as part of invoice entry... Just
because it said it was ready to invoice at time of display on the
selection list, doesn't mean it still is, I guess.
Gotta love this stuff...

Are you saying you can't ship it (relieving reservations & inventory,
also closing line) and zero $ re-invoice it (or full re-invoice with an
offsetting credit)?
???

Actually, the more I dig into this, the uglier it gets. Here's what we
did:
Reserve material against sales order release
Create pack slip (freight through AgileShip-do not mark shipped, this
gives me a ship date, but does not mark the pack as shipped)
Invoice unshipped pack slip- post
Now we're stuck. Inventory is not relieved, I have an open order line I
can't close, a reservation I can't relieve, and a posted invoice against
an unshipped pack slip. Needless to say, I have an open call with
Epicor, but does anyone else see a way out of this?
Thanks!

I find if you got into order entry you can close the line direcly and
that should clean it up.
