It would be a lot easier to just add a UD field at whatever length you wanted and/or look at phantom BOM’s. Flattening BOM’s is exactly what phantom BOM is for. And find number, is for balloon numbers on a print BOM [image] and, jobs can be multi level, so I’m not sure why you would need to have…

Increasing the size of native fields is generally a bad idea. How is this field defined at the actual database level?

no nvarchar(X) x being the number of characters I just looked at the DB level it is nvarchar(10) no more than 10 characters can be stored there. [image] So not configurable. Also if you want to group parts why don’t you use Product Group? Or Part Class? Not fully understanding the implications …
