not wanting to sound like a narcissist, but my deck is totally missing.

@ecain - I was wondering if the Keynote slide decks would be available? I checked for them but none of them have links. In particular the keynote and road Ahead (MFG) from Tuesday morning.

No they don’t do them for those.

Ah - I missed that…

I was wondering if anyone else picked up on the “workflow” tool(?) coming in a future release and might have seen it or talked about it in any of the sessions?

What was your session title?

I was wondering about this too. I asked many people in the solution pavilion and nobody had any information.

Dare we ask the usual characters about it?

@timshuwy / @bconner - can anyone comment on the ‘workflow’ topic discussed during the Keynote?

Yes, There is an idea that was posted (Log In - Epicor Identity Currently with 200 votes) that asked for a workflow engine for everything. We also had another idea for a “month-end checklist” (see Log In - Epicor Identity) which only has 1 vote)…
We decided that the idea for a “workflow for everything” was a valuable and intriguing idea.

What was initially thought was that we would take the current concept of Tasks and Task LIsts that we have in Quotes/Cases/Eng Workbench, etc and expand that out to be more “general” usable and more generally triggerable via a BPM, etc… After some analysis, it was found that the model that we already have may be more complex than we really need.
So we are now going down the line of a new workflow set called “action plans” that will have a similar concept of many actions and a list of actions can be strung together. The action plan can be triggered by a BPM. An action can be associated to any record. Since a BPM can trigger this, it can have rules on the trigger, putting records on hold, etc. ALSO, we will have the ability to create an action plan that can be scheduled for things like Month End, Physical Inventory etc.
We are still working out the details, and it will probably not have 100% functionality at the 2024.2 release, so its functionality will grow over time as users test it and comment on how it works. :safe_harbor: Safe Harbor :safe_harbor:

Thanks for the update Tim!

I certainly voted for that idea, I just never put the two together. I like the direction it’s headed (instead of the terrible Task structure), but don’t forget about the “Approval” when it comes to actions. I’ll add some thoughts to the Idea rather than here.

oh, we didn’t forget about approvals… there are two designed action types… one of which is an “approval” action, vs a simple action that is just something that needs to be done (such as “run report” or “Initialize Physical inventory”).

It was in the EpiUser Group Showcase 1 of 2.

Deck was “Integrating Kinetic with Bartender REST API”

@ecain - To confirm, there are 4 presentations included in the two session PDFs and @Hally’s is not in there.

@josecgomez - not sure who submitted the PDFs, but someone created the ‘agenda’ slides in both files and looks like Simon’s was left out. I’d be happy to update it all, but I’d need all the originals.

@Hally - can you post it here so we can grab a copy? (I’m looking to do BT later this year)

Hello @MikeGross

Here is link to the Repo GitHub - HallSimonHall/Insights2024

no code in there at the moment due to some further improvements and my local BT install ran out of days :frowning:
