We are implementing Vantage 6.10. We have three departmental
warehouses for our raw materials. These are distince locations in
our facility, but there is only one shipping / receiving dock.
Incoming inspection is done by each production group instead of the
receiver. We have created three inspection bins for the three
departments and the normal warehouse bins begin with same number as
the department. For single receipts, the default bin shows up on
the receiving screen, so the receiver knows that parts eventually
needed in bin 51012 should be inspected in bin I-500 (Inspection -
Dept 500). You don't see this detail for mass receipts so the
receiver doesn't know where to send the parts to be inspected. The
current thought is to create a custom receiver report for reference,
but we would like something less cumbersome?
Has anyone created a solution for a similar scenario?
