Inter-company SO/PO

Hi Friends,
I have been trying hard to know how we can create inter-company POs and SOs please help?

I don’t know if this is the correct way to do it, probably not. But the way we handle that is to make a Customer Managed PO for $0. I would definitely love to hear other ways of handling this. I don’t really know what we do for SOs, but I could ask around.

Thanks Jonathan i would definitely try this.

If you are licensed for multi-company currently, I would highly recommend reviewing the Multi-Site Company Setup Technical Reference Guide (it is titled Multi-Site but it is actually for Multi-Company). This walks through all of the setups required as well as the process for inter-company POs/SOs.

Yes i have the license for multi company can you tell where can i find the technical reference guide? @BScanlan

If you are on a version of Kinetic, you can search for ‘Technical Reference Guide’ from your help in the software. Otherwise, they can be found on epicweb.epicor.com under Documentation > Technical Reference Guides

My company has automation where a PO from our Company A to our Company B results in automatic Sales Order generation in Company B. It sounds like what you are looking for.

I didn’t develop it, it was pre-existing when I came to work here. Basically several BPMs with a lot of C#.

I have got the guide Thanks a lot.

Once you have setup each of your companies as intercompany customer/supplier then you can create a PO from one company to the other, and run the Multi-Company Direct Server Process.

Reference the technical guide that was mentioned before, and reach out to your CAM for any other documentation they might have for Multi-Company setup.

Worst case, spend two hours with an Epicor Professional Services consultant to properly setup Multi-Company exactly the way you need it to function.
