Haha no way man, you got your own shoes! I am glad you landed there, you’ll be able to help in many different ways than I could. I would like to meet up with you guys after a while so I can learn from you and about some of my mistakes/opportunities to do better.

Hey everyone! I’m going to zombify this thread since we just got done with a another great insights, and probably (hopefully?) we have made some more connections and introduced more people to the great community we have here. If you just discovered this site and are new here, please feel free to introduce yourself. Making connections helps us all. If you don’t know what to say, check out the first post for a mini template.

Reminds me of an old MadTV skit from back in the day.

But yes, c’mon people, say hello.

Long time lurker recently turned contributor. Probably should respond to the mega thread by now so here i am. Hi everyone!

Name
Chance Finley
Geographic location
Bellville Ohio. Remote.
Company you work for and what they do
TPC Wire & Cable. We make premium cables for specialized/high demand applications, as well as a variety of other cable-based products for cars, robotics, ethernet, you name it.

What you do at your company

  • Supposed to be 80/20 split on developments vs support tickets, but this ebbs and flows depending on the day towards the other direction
  • All things technical, BAQs, Reports, Dashboards, BPMs, Customizatons, Custom Applications.
  • Strong generalized background in most modules base and additional. 6 years with a consulting company gave me exposure to just about every module pre 10.2.600
  • Specialty: SSRS is my strongest skill by far, started in the end of Crystal days so experience exists there

What version of Epicor you are on (put that in your profile too, it helps!)
Epicor 10.2.500.18 is the current. Have experience with 6, 8, 9, 10 including most sub versions from my past life.

What technical level you are with regards to Epicor.
I’d say intermediate is a good level to describe myself. Working towards advanced but it seems the more you learn, the less you realize you know. Lots of great knowledge to absorb here on the forum.

Anything else you might think is interesting.

  1. Single father, 3 year old daughter
  2. Nerd at heart. Could talk for hours about 3d printing, woodworking, DIY, Fusion360, Graphic Design, Disc Golf, being a Metal Head :metal:.
  3. I sometimes post some cool stuff on my Instagram. Been dormant for a while but hope to pick back up here soon. https://www.instagram.com/domoredg/ Custom Beer Olympics medals, custom made chocolate molds, random cool stuff.

As an update:
We are now a multi-company (10 Companies so far) and multi-Site setup. I have led the companies through more changes like going multi-whatever and now we are moving into Kinetic.

It seems I have been summoned to this thread by Haso.

Hi all, I’m Ross Kuiper but some of you may know me better as Fireball. I’m from the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area and work at UFPI who is primarily a lumber supplier to the retail, construction, and industrial industries, among other things. I work as an Epicor Developer working mainly on Dashboards and Configurator but I have experiences in most areas. We are currently on 10.2.700, but are hoping to upgrade at some point next year. I am definitely still learning a lot from a great teacher @hkeric.wci but am finally feeling comfortable with the world of Epicor.

Hello everyone!

Shout out to Haso for his expert advise and letting me pick his brain for a bit this afternoon.

My name is Kayla Russetto and I manage a team of recruiters at Oscar Technology. My team consists of specialist recruiters in the ERP space, but most of my clients are Epicor customers and Partners. My goals over the next few years as I grow my team will be to expand into other ERPs as well.

In my experience, recruiters do not always have the best reputation. I’m here to change that (and I have in my past markets). We are very relationship driven, so no spamming you or posting bogus jobs that underpay. I’ve been a recruiter for 3+ years in the ServiceNow/ Salesforce space, but was promoted and tasked with building a new market and team, so sure enough I chose ERP! Check out my LinkedIn for client testimonials/ candidate feedback and other things that speak to my character.

Location:
I’m in Philadelphia for 4 more weeks and then relocating to Tampa, FL.

I recruit for both contract and permanent opportunities, W2 or C2C. United States and Canada.

If there is anything I can do to help you such as career advice, latest hiring trends, staffing advice, professional motivation - send me an email: kayla.russetto@oscar-tech.com

I hope I can add value to you all at some point!

Cheers,

^ My old post.

Hello fair people, my name is Hannah, Queen of Kinetic, Lady of the Vertical Land, Mother of Demons.
I’ve been in the Epicor world for a decade now (woo!) starting with Vantage 8.00 allllll the way through 2022.2. I’ve worked with just about every aspect of Epicor over the years, but my forte and interest is around customizations. A willingness to learn and an interest in new and shiny things led me to be to go-to girl for Kinetic. Is there regret there? Maybe a little, lol. May my pain and suffering be a warning to you all! Or don’t. Don’t let me tell you what to do.

I’m an Applications Engineer for Stephen Gould Corporation and somehow, I landed @josecgomez as my boss. Actually, he kind of poached me from Elkay, but whatever. Sorry, not sorry Elkay.

A bit about me as a person, I’m a mother of two (5yo boy and 8yo girl).
I live in Wisconsin and am passionate about the outdoors. So much so that I’m also a seasonal rock climbing guide and take clients out at Devil’s Lake during the climbing season. When hell Wisconsin freezes over, I head even further NORTH and go climb all things frozen–I am an ice climber as well… and maybe a bit crazy/masochistic for that interest. :woman_shrugging:

Is not like I helped create this forum so that I could easily identify the top talent in the industry and slowly add them to my collection :smiling_imp: that was clearly not the intention at all cough
