I would like to add the UOM to the inventory tags. Does anyone know how

Anyone using the Vantage Inventory Tags can you recommend a printer
that does not jam or an alternative two part form to the Vantage tags.
We have over 8000 parts and have had to baby sit the printer after it
jams an hour into the print job. We used an Epson 880 last year.

generate physical count tags, enter your physical inventory counts, print
variance reports, and post those counts to update your part master

Lydia, I just looked through the help menu and see that I can produce
and maintain tags after a "physical" count. I am interested in
generating a tag to attach to our raw material upon receipt. Is this a
practice that anyone else out there is doing?

First you need to go into Inventory Module configuration and check the
box "Print Bar Codes". This turns on the labels/tags menu options on
the receipt entry screen.
Then take a look at the crystal report in userform/RCVLABEL.RPT
Modify as necessary, save with different name, and set as default in
Report Style Maintenance - Receipt Labels.
This gives nice flexibility on number of labels you wish to generate.
We customized our label to have no bar code fields, just part,
description, lot, reference. Works well.

Does anyone out there have a way of generating "Inventory Tags" we
currently hand write a tag for all on-hand material, Part #,
Description, QTY, and Lot Number.
I can create a report on report builder with this info, but not sure how
to create the "Label" format, nor do I know how to get this generated on
a per part basis and make it simple for a person in shipping receiving
to create the label.

The tags are a crystal report so they can be modified. You need to be
somewhat experienced in crystal reports to do this though. If you have
someone in your company that is a crystal guru I would go to that person.
Otherwise I could try to explain it but it would be pretty difficult.

Crystal. Use the perforated sheets and print pairs side by side.

etc...) and look at the Layout Tap on the right. In there it is specifying
the Height and Width of the Detail Section. I don't know where it is getting
set. On the Common Tab "Format with Multiple Columns" is set but grayed out.

XML file it could be being set there. I have not had a chance to investigate
that.
